End of Year Academic Results - 2016

Please see below our end of year results.

We are very proud of all the children for their efforts. The results are absolutely amazing and reflect the hard work and dedication of both children and staff.

More important than their attainment is the fact that the children have had a positive and happy year where they have developed all aspects of their life within the love of God.  The enthusiastic way in which the children faced their assessments - they were determined and motivated to do their best but were also relaxed and able to enjoy the week – is testament to the approach from all staff and parents. Progress in all year groups is extremely good and is recognition of the hard work of the children, the excellent teaching and the support they receive at school and the support of parents. Please find below and over the page results for the end of Reception, Year 1 Phonics results, End of Key Stage 1 (Y2) and end of Key Stage 2 (Y6) with comparisons of county and national results.

Y1 Phonics Results – 2016

For the last five years there has been a statutory phonics test for children in Year 1. This consists of each child having to read 20 real words and 20 nonsense words to assess their ability to decode. There is a very high pass rate of 32/40 required to meet the standard. We are very pleased to announce that for the third consecutive year, we have record results!

End of Key Stage 2 Results - July 2015

Please see below the end of year SATS results.

We are very proud of all the children for their efforts. The results are absolutely amazing, some of the best results that the school has ever had, and it was wonderful to see the children so proud and delighted with their results.

It is especially pleasing to note that 100% of children have made at least expected progress in reading, writing and maths (this is 2+ levels of progress between Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2). Level 4 is the expected level at the end of Key Stage 2 with levels 5 and 6 being the higher levels (the expected level of attainment in Year 9!). As you can see from the table below, the results shows a continuation in the high, and rising, standards at the school.

Just as important as their attainment is the fact that the children had a positive experience during SATs week. They were determined and motivated to do their best but were also relaxed and able to enjoy the week. Progress in all year groups is extremely good and is recognition of the hard work of the children, the excellent teaching and the support they receive at school and the support of parents.
