Class 1

Children in Class 1 really enjoyed re-enacting Palm Sunday as part of their learning about Easter.

Class 1 have a special prayer circle where they learn prayers and have special time with Jesus.

Class 1 have been busy gardening in their outdoor area as part of their learning about looking after God’s creation.

Class 1 took inspiration from the school prayer garden to write about their love for Jesus.
Class 2

In RE we painted pebbles to show our favourite Christian sign or symbol. We use them during prayer times and to tell stories.

Class 2 have been very busy during Easter making palm leaves for Palm Sunday, stained glass window crosses to remind us that Jesus gave up His life for us. We also made prayer mobiles for Pentecost, asking the Holy Spirit to help us to be better people.

We like to use our prayer table during choosing time. Each week two children are chosen to decorate the prayer table with pictures, crosses, prayers they have written, statues or books.

We love reading stories from the Bible about Jesus. This week we read ‘Feeding the 5000’. We made our own baskets of bread and fish to remind us that Jesus will always give us everything we need.

Other Faiths – Hinduism
We made Rangoli patterns to celebrate the Hindu festival of Diwali.

Class 3

Class 3 have carried out lots of cross curricular work related to Holy Week. They have produced comic strips of the main events.

Class 3 have a Holy Spirit tree on the entrance to their classroom. It encompasses some of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Class 4

Each member of Class 4 has made Lenten promises for the season of Lent.
Class 5

Class 5 have created a display about their RE learning. This includes the meaning of the Last Supper and Moses leading the Israelites to the promised land.

To understand what Jesus was doing when he was washing the disciples’ feet,  Class 5 have washed each others’ feet. They have learnt why Jesus appeared harsh with Peter, and why it was so important that Peter accept Jesus washing his feet - otherwise he could not accept Jesus' death for him.
