Barkston Ash Ultimate Warrior Challenge!

Welcome to the Barkston Ash Ultimate Warrior Challenge!

The challenge is to complete the following 4 ultimate warrior challenges as quickly as you can. You can do the challenges in any order but must not take a break between them-you should move straight away on to the next challenge. The time starts when you start the first challenge and ends when you complete the last one. You can do the challenge indoors or outdoors but will need a 5m distance measuring for the shuttles. Please watch the instructional video from Ralph to help demonstrate the challenges. Please ask your parents to email me your time on headteacher@barkstonash.n-yorks.sch.uk You can do the challenge as many times as you want, just send me an update if you beat your time. The leaderboards are below. There are certificates for everyone who takes part and trophies for the winners!

The number of times you do each challenge depends on your age-please see table below.

Shuttle runs – Place 2 objects 5m apart. Run back and forward making sure that you teach each object. In the video, we use cones, but you can use anything you wish. There and back (10m) counts as 2.

Speed bounce – Using a cone, or anything else suitable (e.g. a towel), keep your feet together and jump sideways over the object. Jump back to your starting position. There and back counts as two.

Star Jumps – Two feet together hands by your side. Jump in the air and open your legs and stretch your arms out into a star position. Jump back to the starting position. That is one star jump.

Step ups – Step up onto a bench or a step (you could use stairs if you are doing this indoors or steps in your garden) so that both feet are on the step and step down so that both feet are back on the floor. This counts as one step up.

The last date to submit your time is Monday 15th March at 3:30pm.
