Hi, I’m Grace and I am the girls’ football captain. I love playing football and really enjoy representing the school in tournaments and friendly matches. I like playing in defence and midfield. During games I help to encourage the other players and check they are okay. I am very proud to be this season’s captain.
I’m Luca and I’m the boys’ football captain. I play centre back for the team and love playing football every chance I get! Outside of school I also play for a local club called Ulleskelf. Our school team is full of great, skilful players. We take part in a local school league and recently won the area small school’s fa cup which was a great achievement! I am very proud to have been chosen for this role.

Eve Eastman – KS2 Cross Country Captain
Hi, I am Eve and I’m the cross country captain. I love running long distances and can keep a good pace during races. I help to organise training sessions and encourage everyone to complete their races. We recently took part in a Cross Country competition where 63 children took part! Mr Power and I were very proud of everyone.
Oscar Gilvier-Shakespeare – KS1 Cross Country Captain
Hi, I’m Oscar and I’m the Key Stage 1 Cross Country Captain. I am very proud to have been chosen for this role. All of the children in Year 2 took part in a cross country competition and they all did very well. Children from our school finished in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Elenia O'Donnell - KS1 Dodgeball Captain
Hi, I’m Elenia and I’m the KS1 Dodgeball captain. Dodgeball is a really fun event where you have to throw soft balls at the opposition and dodge out of the way of the other team throwing balls at you! I really like being the captain of our team. I help Mr Power decide who plays in each match and help organise the team. I really enjoy playing dodgeball.

Lindsey Kilcoin - KS2 Athletics Captain
Hi, I’m Lindsey and I am the school’s athletics captain. I love athletics and it is one of the many sports that I enjoy taking part in at Barkston Ash. My specialist athletics events are the sprint relays and the long/triple jump. I help organise practice sessions and encourage the team, even when things might not be going as well as we hoped. I am extremely proud to be the athletics captain and this role means a lot to me.
