Classes  »  Archive 2017/18  »  Class 1 - Mrs Poulter

Our first term in school.
It has been a big change for our Reception children coming to school! They have all settled really well though and are all doing well. A big thank you to our Year 1s in Class 1 who have really helped our new starters.

Look at what we have been up to.
You can see from all the brilliant class room displays how busy the children have been.

Science – Ourselves
Elmer helped us to think about how we are all different and how this is a good and positive thing.

Art Gallery
There is always lots of art things out in class 1. Look at some of the amazing paintings and drawings our children have done.

Geography / Understanding the world – Weather
We looked at how clothes would need to be different or different weather and even had a go at recording the weather every day for a week. There was lots of clouds!

Art focus – Famous Artist ‘George Seurat’
Our Year 1’s looked closely at the famous artist George Seurat and had a go at one of his famous paintings of the Eiffel Tower. He only painted using dots.

Visit from the Police
We have been very lucky to have lots of special visitors this first half term. We had a visit from the Police who talked to us about being safe. We tried on their uniform and got to sit in the police van. The siren was very loud.
